Wildwood Cooks Up New St. Patrick’s Day Tradition

WILDWOOD, NJ – The newest Wildwood restaurant sensation, Cattle „N Clover, will reach for

Guinness History, as in The Guinness Book of World Records, at the Inaugural Wildwood St. Patrick‟s

Day Block Party on Saturday, March 17

, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Pacific Avenue between

Spicer and Lincoln Avenues. Bear witness as an Official Guinness Judge presides over the

construction of a scale tipping, 1,790 pound Shepherd‟s Pie, an accomplishment that will solidify

Wildwood‟s rightful spot in this world renowned book. Following the judging process, for a small

donation, spectators will be able to sample the mammoth meat pie, with all proceeds going to Lunch

with Lynch, a not-for-profit charitable entity that is partnered with the Cape May County Fraternal

Order of Police Lodge #7.

The highlight of the evening will be the performance by Pentatonix, NBC‟s “The Sing-Off” Season 3

Champions. The Sony recording a cappella group will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. and dazzle the crowd

as they push the limits of the human voice to the extreme. Rounding out the concert will be

performances by Irish rock band Burning Bridget Cleary and local favorites The Sensational Soul

Cruisers and Hydeaway.

To kick off this celebration of heritage and community, the Block Party will open at 9:00 a.m. with

Kegs „N Eggs. For a $10 donation, you can start your day off the right way with a hot breakfast buffet,

with all proceeds going to Lunch with Lynch. Throughout the day, the street will be lined with

authentic Irish vendors, peddling everything from whiskey kits to Irish clothing to shamrock shaped

glasses. Likewise, stilt-walkers and a leprechaun will be roaming the street, with balloon sculpting and

face painting available for the children or the kid at heart. Don‟t forget to check out the grand opening

of Cattle „N Clover, on the corner of Pacific and Spicer Avenues, a Steakhouse with an Irish Soul.

There you will be able to dine on traditional Irish cuisine as well as sign up for your chance to win a

trip to Ireland, courtesy of Cattle „N Clover and 98.7 The Coast.

On March 17, everyone is Irish, so come and join the party with food, friends and fun – it will be the

place to be on St. Patrick‟s Day.
