Wildwood >as reported by the Herald News.
Seven city property owners were assessed fees for cleanup and grass mowing by the Public Works Department.
The city’s Board of Commissioners passed a resolution during its Nov. 22 meeting fining the property owners over $3,000 collectively.
“This is part of the Clean and Lien program,” Mayor Ernie Troiano told the Herald. Under the program, owners who do not maintain their properties will be advised by the city to clean up their property. If the owner does not do so, members of the city’s Public Works Department will do the work, and the owner will be charged.
Clean up fees for the properties included in the resolution ranged from $220 to $790.
