Police report a man on the cedar ave beach was hit by lightning  at approximately 12:30 p.m. a short time later a pregnant woman was hit by lightning on the west 600 block on Poplar Ave.  Fire and rescuer were on the scene.. stay tuned for updated

 

NOW.. Wildwood Police have reported 4 hit by lightning all in the same area. and all taken to local hospitals, they were reported to have been huddling under an umbrella at Cedar and the beach when the ground where they were standing was hit by lightening.

According to Wildwood Fire Chief Christopher D’Amico “This was all one incident,”  a brother and sister in their 20’s were two of the victims that were still on a beach, the pregnant woman and a child walked to a house on the 600 block of Poplar ave and called police from that location.
