The Boardwalk Blog has also been chosen as the Official Blog for the Wildwood, NJ Centennial Celebration

At a recent meeting of the Wildwood Centennial Committee at City Hall, a number of sub-committees were formed to move the year-long celebration forward, and our Facebook page ” Wildwood Boardwalk Tramcar” and The Boardwalk Blog will keep Wildwood fans apprised of what’s goin’ on.

The Centennial activities will begin with a May 5 Beach Party Kick-Off – rain date May 6 – from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. It will begin with Wildwood and Wildwood Catholic high school students conducting their annual beach-cleaning and will include a bonfire and live entertainment.

Other suggested activities and events includes a Festival of Posters, a “green garden” project, a Time Capsule ceremony, a Centennial Book, a Centennial art mural, and an appearance by the “Cake Boss.” Already announced are appearances by Charlie Gracie and Bobby Rydell.
