A classic North Wildwood breakfast spot is making a big return. The former Star Diner at 325 W. Spruce Ave. — one of the first places you see when you enter the island — is being reborn as the Star Lite Diner.

The building sat empty after its run as Marvis Pancake House, but now it’s getting new life under a family with deep Wildwood roots. The owners’ family once ran the beloved Lamppost Diner, famous for its homemade breakfast. After the Lamppost closed, they continued their culinary journey at the Pier House in Cape May, blending their breakfast tradition with upscale dining.

Now, the family is coming full circle. Brothers George and Argy — both with decades of experience — are bringing back from‑scratch, homemade breakfast to North Wildwood. Even their mother, who helped run the Lamppost in its heyday, is returning to the diner.

The plan is to open around Mother’s Day weekend, with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and operate year‑round.
