If you’re spending the day at the beach in Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, North Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, Sea Isle City, Ocean City, or anywhere along the Jersey Shore, be sure to look to the skies!

On Sunday, August 9, Smokey Bear will celebrate his 82nd birthday with a special helicopter flyover aboard a New Jersey Forest Fire Service Bell UH-1 “Huey” helicopter. The flight will begin over Wildwood Crest at approximately 1:45 PM and continue north along the New Jersey coastline all the way to Asbury Park.

Leading the flight will be a banner plane displaying “Happy Birthday, Smokey Bear,” making this a fun event for families, beachgoers, and aviation enthusiasts visiting the Jersey Shore.
