Six New Venues and “Breakfast in the Sky” Back By Popular Demand

The Wildwoods, NJ (July 17, 2014) –Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks, located on the boardwalk of Wildwoods, NJ, adds culinary flair to classic boardwalk fare with new food menus and offerings across all three beachfront piers.

Starting with Surfside Pier, the newly opened Jake’s Steaks serves up authentic Philly Cheesesteaks made using only 100% rib eye. Guests can also choose a sweet Italian sausage sandwich with peppers and onions, or an all-beef quarter pound hot dog. Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar and Grille is a new oceanfront venue serving lively libations and open-air ocean breezes, with an innovative menu featuring signature dishes from Food and Beverage Manager, Betsy Garr including Cuban dusted fried calamari with cilantro cream sauce, crab cake sandwich with lemon Dijon mustard, and country battered chicken and waffle sandwich with maple mayo. With an easy-to-access beach entrance, Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar and Grille, located at Ocean Oasis Water Park and open to the public, offers live music daily from 2pm – 6pm and live reggae tunes each Sunday afternoon from 11am – 6pm. The acoustic sounds of fresh local artists can also be enjoyed at Joes’ Fish Co. every Thursday through Sunday from 8pm to 11pm.

Those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can visit Le Bakerie on Mariner’s Pier to find mini doughnuts, a variety of crepes including Nutella and s’mores, and the classic funnel cake. Capturing the flavors of Mexico with a Southern California twist, The Taco Joint is a new cantina style venue serving up a variety of tacos, quesadillas, fresh salsas, nachos, and margaritas. Tucked behind Jumbo’s, The Taco Joint menu features specialty creations by Executive Chef Wally Jurusz including: the Mahi Mahi a la Plancha Taco with shaved cabbage and red onions, pico de gallo, and fresh crema; the Korean Short Rib Taco featuring Korean BBQ beef with cabbage-cucumber slaw; the Carne Asada Taco with San Diego style marinated beef in a corn tortilla with shaved lettuce, pepper jack cheese, pico de gallo and salsa roja; fried cheesecake topped with choice of dulce de leche or bananas; and much more.

Starting July 26 through August 25 and available on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, guests can leisurely soar high above the Wildwoods beaches aboard the Giant Wheel while enjoying wheel-side table service complete with fine china, and white linen tablecloths. All menu items are hand-crafted by Executive Chef Wally Jurusz with favorites including Belgium waffles, shrimp and lobster omelets, and steak and eggs. All meals are served with bottled water, coffee, hot tea or homemade iced tea; choice of cranberry, pomegranate or fresh squeezed orange juice, and assorted breakfast bread basket and condiments. Price starts at $85 per car with two guests; $40 per additional guest with a four guest maximum.

The recently opened Tony Luke’s, known for its award-winning Philly Cheesesteaks and old-Philly style sandwiches, is bringing a taste of South Philly to the heart of Adventure Pier. Guests will find classics such as Tony Luke’s original cheesesteak, and the popular roast pork sandwich, as well as boardwalk fries with or without cheese. To celebrate the opening, Tony Luke’s is hosting the “Big Cheesesteak Challenge” every day this summer where steak lovers can try their luck at finishing a five pound cheesesteak in a half an hour. Those who complete the challenge will receive a Tony Luke’s gift certificate. Each week, Morey’s Piers will award the person with the fastest cheesesteak eating time a free water park pass.

Across from artBOX on Adventure Pier, the ALOHA Smoothie Company is serving up a refreshing menu of smoothies and sorbets such as the classic strawberry banana smoothie, organic acai sorbet, the Rio Bowl which tops an acai smoothie with fresh banana, local honey and homemade granola, and more. And the Sweet Pea mobile truck is scooping up thirty plus flavors of homemade ice cream including the top-selling salted caramel.
