Move over Netflix and Lionsgate there’s a new movie studio coming to Atlantic City. the former Ocean One pier and Pier Shops at Caesars. others have spent 200 million trying the pier an attraction, but it never worked.

Bart Blatstein, showboat developer spent close to $50 million into the property and renamed it Playground Pier, he sold it back to Caesars in 2020.

Now, ACX1 will turn the empty storefront, bars, restaurants and other closed businesses into 150 TV and media sets. It will also include creative spaces, music or art studios, rehearsal and teaching spaces.
