Amidst rumors of the Ferris wheel and carousel at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier being up for sale, developer Eustace Mita has clarified that these iconic symbols are not part of the sale. Despite plans for a luxurious hotel on the former amusement park site, Mita reassured the public that the Ferris wheel, carousel, and wet boats are not on the market.
Initially included on a for-sale list at a trade show in Orlando, Florida, the carousel and Ferris wheel were meant to attract attention, according to Mita. However, following the confusion, Mita promptly removed them from the list.
With details of a 36-foot Bertazzon Double Deck Carousel and a Fabbri Ferris Wheel circulating, prices for various amusement park items ranged from $8,000 to $390,000 on the list. Despite the speculations, the carousel and Ferris wheel remain off the market.
As the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Exhibition and Conference unfolds in Orlando, the preservation of Gillian’s Wonderland Pier’s iconic attractions remains a topic of conversation.
