One of the most famous clubs in Wildwood, Phil and Eddies on Cedar and Atlantic Aves where you could regularly find Bobby Rydell, Chubby Checker, Bobby Vinton, Jerry Vale, the Righteous Brothers and many more of the most popular entertainers of the day.

When he teamed up with the late Phil Bonelli to start the Surf Club, in the Biltmore Hotel,

The first Surf Club was destroyed by a fire in 1961. The partners rebuilt it as Eddie & Phil’s Surf Club.

Later the club was The Boardwalk Bar and Grille until today when new signs went up as Island Bagel.

I was surprised to see the sign guys there today when I drove past, but I did not stop, then a good friend Paul Evangelista got some great pics of the new business.
