Spending every Summer of his life on America’s Favorite Boardwalk in Wildwood, Joey Contino’s musical style is heavily influenced by the Doo Wop history of the Wildwoods. He started singing almost immediately after he began to talk. As a child, he performed all over the country in the Philadelphia Boys’ Choir. As he got older he found his way to Frank Sinatra. Frank Sinatra was his first love into music and got him to listen to other jazz singers such as Mel Torme, Dean Martin, and Bing Crosby. Since 2009, Contino has performed under the instruction of Grammy Award Winning conductor, Peter Nero. There he performs alongside Broadway singers such as Capathia Jenkins, Ashley Brown, Lauren Kennedy, and Rachel York in the Philly Pops Festival Choir. He is currently perfecting his craft as an undergraduate at Temple University.
Contino puts out music covers on his youtube channel monthly.
