A day long festival celebrating great lighthouse heritage at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, 111 N. Central Avenue in North Wildwood. FREE admission to the event and to tour the lighthouse from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Formal ceremony begins at 10 a.m. with guest speakers including elected state and local officials, historians and U.S. Coast Guard representatives. There will be 2 color guards featuring the Coast Guard and the North Wildwood VFW as well as bag pipe music. A highlight of the day will be a tribute to former Coast Guard lighthouse keepers and a once in a lifetime reunion of the children and descendants of the keepers of the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.
