National Night Out in North Wildwood Will Be Aug. 7

NORTH WILDWOOD – In our continuing efforts to build a better community and a safer America, the City of North Wildwood will be hosting the 6th Annual National Night Out Tues., Aug. 7, 2012 at the 8th Avenue field. North Wildwood National Night Out is a yearly event that offers an ideal opportunity to build neighborhood unity and strengthen police-community partnerships.

This year’s event will once again include a DJ, barbeque, Sno-cones, and games and activities for the children, as well as a movie after dark – don’t forget to bring your chair or blanket to sit on. The North Wildwood Recreation Department will be organizing fun races you can enter, and there’s even a chance to dunk a good-natured police officer in the Dunk Tank.

The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be drawings every hour for several giveaway prizes throughout the night.

Surrounding the city block will be displays from all city departments – Police, Fire, Public Works, Beach Patrol, and Recreation, each of which will show you how they contribute to the quality of life in North Wildwood.

If you have any questions concerning your sponsorship or the event, please feel free to call 522-2030 x 1503 or email NWnationalnightout@nwpd.org.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
