Hey all you Wildwoodians let me tell you about whats happening in Wildwood, NJ this 4th of July weekend.

Today I was at a meeting at Wildwood City Hall about the Philly Pops Free 4th of July concert at Fox Park in Wildwood, NJ. Large crowds in the thousands are expected to fill the park for the 8:30 Saturday night concert. Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr told me today he is thrilled that the Philly Pops will be performing on the 4th of July in Wildwood, NJ.

Wildwoods Convention Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Race starts at 9 a.m. The 5K Fun Run will begin at the Wildwoods Sign and travel North to the Wildwoods Convention Center and then down the boardwalk extension to the beach.

The Downtown Wildwood Farmer’s Market will take place 4th of July Saturday from 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and all during the summer months, rain or shine. The Patriotic Pooch Parade will join in the march of the Independence Day Parade through the island at 8th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood. Dogs of all shapes and sizes will parade along the streets of the Wildwoods dressed in patriotic garb alongside decorated bicycles. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed pooches. FREE. FREE Philly POPS Patriotic Concert

The Philly POPS Orchestra will perform a FREE Fourth of July Patriotic Concert at Fox Park, Burk & Ocean Avenues in Wildwood, at 8:30 p.m. This event, which is part of the Philly POPS Salute Series honoring our nation’s traditions, values, and commitment to service, is sponsored by the City of Wildwood and the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA). Bring a blanket or beach chair and prepare to be wowed by one of the greatest orchestras in the country! Conductor Michael Krajewski will lead Broadway vocalist Capathia Jenkins – a beloved regular POPS performer – and The Voices of The Philly POPS through a selection of well-known and well-loved patriotic tunes, including The Star Spangled Banner, Stars and Stripes, the Armed Forces Salute, and God Bless America.
