Remember the “Plant of the Apes” ride?  This ride was on Morey’s Pier in Wildwood, NJ in the late 1970s, the ride was later changed to a “Star Wars” theme. Since 2003, it has been located near the Bait Box Restaurant. In 2010, there were signs of a restoration taking place. However, the project was soon abandoned. In 2014 and turned up for sale on Ebay and did not sell for the asking price of  $29,900.

My very reliable inside sources personally told me that this ride MAY return to Wildwood, NJ sometime soon and used for a different venue. There is no confirmation at this time but stay with us here at The Boardwalk Blog for updates on if and when this deal is confirmed.
