The NEW ‘Gig’ Sightseer Tram Car will take on the AmeriCRUSH Monster Truck to gear up for the Monster Truck Beach Races August 19 – 21
The Wildwoods, NJ – August 10, 2016 – The Wildwoods will host the ultimate summer smack down – the NEW ‘Gig’ Sightseer Tram Car vs. the AmeriCRUSH Monster Truck in a tug-of-war battle on the Boardwalk in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center on Wednesday, August 17 at 1 p.m.
The special event is the kick-off to the ‘Monsters on the Beach’ Monster Truck Beach Races qualifiers on Friday, August 19 and the races Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21. A chain will be hooked between the Monster Truck and the Tram Car. Both competitors will rev their engines (the Monster Truck’s 502 Chevrolet Ram Jet, 600 horsepower engine; the Tram Car’s 2,000-pound electric battery) and start pulling in opposite directions. A flag centered on the chain will be the marker that determines the winner – the vehicle that pulls the flag across their finish line first, wins.
