Frederick Sutton was a big part of the beginning of Holly Beach, NJ which is now Wildwood, NJ. He was the president of the West Jersey Electric Company, president of First National Bank of Collingswood, NJ and president of Marine National Bank in Wildwood, NJ, where the bank still stands today on Pacific and Wildwood Aves. Look up and you will see the name ” Marine National Bank” Mr. Sutton was a 1st class passenger who perished on the Titanic April 14th, 1912
News was also received that George Smith, vice-president of the Marine National Bank, who was to have taken passage on the lost ship, was delayed and missed her by one hour.
