This year the world-famous Wildwood NJ Boardwalk Tramcar will celebrate 75 years!

The Tram Cars will start running the first weekend of May

The Wildwoods’ famous tram car service since 1949! Trams operate beginning in May during the season along the two miles of the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk from 16th Street in North Wildwood to Cresse Avenue at the Wildwood/Wildwood Crest border. Operation begins at 11 a.m. daily and generally run until the amusement piers close. A one-way ride in 2023 takes about 30 minutes and costs $5.00 per person. Discount tickets are available at the Tram Office and at various locations along the boardwalk. “Watch the tram car, please!”

Since their introduction to the boardwalk by local businessman Gilbert Ramagosa on June 11, 1949, the Tram Cars have been transporting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, providing a unique vantage point to take in the sights, sounds, and aromas of the seaside locale.
