New Seawall Extention Project in North Wildwood

After hurricane Sandy destroyed hundreds of miles of the Jersey Shore last month and damaged the Gazebo on 3rd and the beach in N Wildwood the city is extending the seawall with a concrete cap from 3rd street to 6th street so far, and in the future may be extended further according to our sources.

There is no doubt that the seawall and the dunes saved the homes and business on the east side of the island, it was an excellent move by North Wildwood’s Mayor and City Counsel who took a lot of heat from residents who were opposed to the dunes more than the seawall, but now as we all know, the city was right.

This island has never taken a direct hit from any Cat 1 -5 hurricane, but if it did you can just look at the poor people is Seaside Heights an their Roller Coaster sitting in the Atlantic Ocean and hundreds of homes wiped off the face of the earth.

I want to say THANK YOU.. The Wildwood’s the first responders, who braved the storm, ready to rescue, resident and animals and could have walked into hell on earth like the first responders in Breezy Point who had a six alarm fire and could not respond because of the flooding and watch their city burn, only to get there hours later and have no water pressure to fight the fire, just watch the city burn.

God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”

Thanks You!!
