As I write this early Sunday afternoon, two City of Wildwood workers are pulling up the stakes that marked the RV park slated for the beach across from the Bocce court.

Wildwood Crest commissioner Joyce Gould, who runs the Boardwalk Craft Show there and who was sitting on a bench there, says she understands that the stakes – and presumably the RV park – are being moved north of the Convention Center. Beyond that, she didn’t know what’s up.

So, at this point, it would appear that the Ocean Towers protestors have won the day and that the city is, in fact, backing off. We’re trying to contact Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano for a statement.
