The annual “Boo at the Zoo” event will take place on Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The public is invited to wear a costume to this free family event which includes activities for the kids, games, candy, entertainment, animals, a stiltwalker, a strolling magician and more.
Once again this year, the Halloween costume contest will be a Freeze Frame Costume Dance Contest starting at 11 a.m., registration begins at 10 a.m. An awards presentation will follow the Halloween costume contest. Additionally, the First Trance Comedy Hypnotist will perform at 12 p.m. Also, starting at Noon will be a live animal show performing on the hour and half hour.
This special event is free and open to the public. The Cape May County Zoo is located at 707 Route 9 North in Cape May Court House (Exit 11 off of the Garden State Parkway).
