(Info from Wikipedia)

As a kid in the late 60’s and 70s we would sneak into the pool on busy weekends, of course, eventually we got caught but the owner was a great guy and would let us swim there 1 day during the week if we promised not to come there on weekends. The heart shaped pool was something we never saw at other motels, and we just had to swim there.

The motel was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 25, 2004. It will still be run as a motel for the summer of 2022.
