Parade and Fun Fair

Halloween fun in the Wildwoods kicks off Friday, Oct. 26 with the annual Halloween parade followed by a free Halloween Fun Fair at the Wildwoods Convention Center.

The parade is scheduled to begin 6:15 p.m. at Wildwood and Pacific avenues in Wildwood, proceed south and end at the convention center at Burk and Ocean avenues.


All divisions, whether float or non-float, must register at 5:15 p.m. to participate. Winners will be announced at the Halloween Fun Fair 7-9:30 p.m. in the convention center, where there will be games and prizes. All fair goers are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Pumpkin Run

Saturday, Oct. 27 will take off with the Wildwoods Boardwalk Pumpkin Run, a ghoulishly fun family boardwalk event for all ages featuring a 5K and 10K run along the boardwalk, along with a one-mile family walk.

The event starts 10 a.m. rain or shine; registration begins 8:30 a.m. in the Wildwoods Convention Center.

Participants are encouraged to dress in Halloween costumes. There will be prizes for the best dressed in categories including family, youth, infant and best all around.

The registration fee is $25 for adults and $10 for anyone 18 or under. Proceeds benefit elementary schools in the Wildwoods.

All participants will receive a Pumpkin Run T-shirt.

Trunk or Treat

The annual Halloween Trunk or Treat family event will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Crest Pier. Adults will decorate their vehicles for Halloween and distribute candy to children in costume from the trunks of their vehicles. Prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated vehicles. There will be food, DJ entertainment, a magic show and more. The event is free, but decorated automobiles must be preregistered. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier Recreation Center.

Haunted House

On Halloween night, Wednesday, Oct. 31, the Greater Wildwood Elks will host a free Halloween haunted house at the Elks Lodge, First Avenue and New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood. Trick-or-treaters can walk through a the haunted house and receive treats from 5-8 p.m. For information call 609-729-2170.
