Demolition work has begun at 401 East Maple Avenue, where an approved 18-unit apartment complex is set to rise. The property spans multiple lots, stretching from Glenwood Avenue to Ocean Avenue and over toward Maple Avenue. The site was previously used as Mike’s Boardwalk parking lot and included a small structure featuring an old garage with a residential unit above it.

Crews have now begun tearing up large sections of blacktop and are actively gutting the remaining structure, signaling that the project is officially moving beyond the planning phase and into active redevelopment. The development will consist of four multifamily buildings totaling 18 residential units.
