NJEDP At Proposed Wildwood RV Site

By Boardwalk Bob Ingram

On a late Wednesday morning walk on the Wildwood Boardwalk, I saw two men sitting on a bench by the proposed RV site across from the Bocce Court.

They had a big map spread out across both their knees and were poring over it when  I approached. The one guy had an NJDEP (New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection) baseball cap on and they both said they were checking out the site, and then gave me the definite impression that’s all they wanted to say, so I didn’t press the issue.

I wonder if they were there at the request of the Ocean Towers condo owners who are putting up a hue and cry over the proposed site on most every kind of ground you can think of? They have a demo planned for Saturday.

So far, we’ve had about 100 Blog responses to the whole deal and only a very, very few are supporting it.

We’ll be interviewing Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano on Saturday for the documentary sequel we’re filming about the Wildwood Boardwalk, and we’ll get his take on the whole RV embroglio then.

Stay tuned.
