A NEW Wildwood Beach Taxi is coming to Wildwood for the summer of 2021.

We had an exclusive interview with Danny yesterday from DK Rentals the operators of the Famous Wildwood, NJ Beach Taxi at Oak and the beach who also rent umbrellas, chairs, lounge chairs and boogie boards on Oak Ave and the beach.

Danny tells us that a new beach taxi will be arriving this week for the summer of 2021. He was replacing all the roofs on all the cabanas as we were talking to him with new thatched roofs.

Thatching is the craft of building a roof with dry vegetation such as straw, water reed, sedge, rushes, heather, or palm branches, layering the vegetation so as to shed water away from the inner roof. Since the bulk of the vegetation stays dry and is densely packed—trapping air—thatching also functions as insulation.
